Barbara Irene Boncher (Basten) was born on April 24, 1905, in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mary and John. She married Clarence Michael Basten on October 19, 1922, in Menominee, Michigan. They had four children in 14 years. She died on August 31, 1989, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at the age of 84, and was buried there.
